About the Role
Icare is seeking an experienced Compliance Advisor to support the Head of Compliance and broader Compliance team.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring Icare meets its legal, regulatory and internal policy obligations — with a strong focus on privacy-related compliance, breach management and regulatory reporting.

As part of the second line of defense, you’ll partner with the business to identify, assess and manage compliance risks, provide advice on privacy matters, and contribute to developing a robust compliance culture across Icare.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of privacy-related matters and regulatory notifications
• Research and interpret relevant laws, regulations and internal policies
• Provide guidance on eligible data breaches and liaise with the Privacy Commissioner
• Conduct compliance monitoring, assurance and testing activities
• Prepare reports and recommend improvements to business operations
• Support risk assessments to prioritise compliance obligations
• Assist with investigations into privacy incidents and advise on root-cause remediation
• Contribute to compliance training and awareness initiatives
• Build strong relationships across the business to embed compliance best practice

About You

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in compliance, privacy, or risk management
• Strong expertise in privacy legislation and breach response
• Background in insurance or government sectors highly regarded
• Proven ability to analyse, report and influence compliance outcomes
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
