Project Engineer – TfNSW (Hay, NSW)

Daily rate: $1,000 Per Day+ Super
Location: 16 Sidonia Road, Hay NSW
Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs per week (on-site role)
Duration: x1 role Until 31 January 2026 x1 role until 30/11/2025

About the role Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the regional delivery team based in Hay.
You will play a key role in delivering critical regional infrastructure projects across multiple sites. A TfNSW-provided vehicle will be available for daily site travel.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver assigned civil and infrastructure works across multiple project sites
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance are maintained to TfNSW standards
• Oversee contractors and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support successful delivery
• Prepare project documentation, monitor progress, and report on cost, schedule, and risk
• Support construction supervision and resolve technical issues as they arise

About you You are a proactive engineer with a strong background in civil infrastructure delivery and the ability to manage competing priorities across remote sites.
Essential requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience (delivering infrastructure works; 8–10 years preferred for long-term roles)
• White Card (mandatory)
• WOF and Traffic Control tickets (or willingness to obtain at own cost)
• Full driver’s licence and ability to travel across regional sites
• Prior Local or State Government experience highly regarded
