you are a quarry or mining operator who takes operational control personally. you hate inefficiency, think in production flow, and can spot a potential bottleneck before anyone else even sees it. you’re not just a supervisor — you’re an operational leader who owns output, safety standards, uptime, and culture on site.

about the role

as quarry manager, you are the operational heartbeat of the business. your job is simple — safe production, done right, every day.

you will:

lead daily prestarts, enforce zero-harm culture, manage compliance records

execute the daily + weekly production plan to hit stock and sales targets

monitor output live, remove bottlenecks, and prevent unplanned downtime

coordinate crew performance — operators, fitters, contractors, suppliers

work with maintenance lead to balance planned vs reactive maintenance

control operational costs — fuel, labour, hire — without sacrificing safety

report key performance data weekly to general business manager
