With continued growth and a strong pipeline of national projects, they are expanding their team and seeking a capable Project Controls Coordinator to support delivery excellence.
About the Role
In this newly created position, you will be responsible for overseeing project controls across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, scheduling, reporting, and commercial support.
You will work closely with project managers, estimators, finance, and procurement teams to maintain visibility across key performance metrics and ensure project targets are met. The role offers genuine variety, autonomy, and involvement across the full lifecycle of complex mechanical and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking systems
- Manage client invoicing and subcontractor claims in line with contract terms
- Support procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Produce regular internal and external reports on cost, schedule, and performance
- Assist with estimating activities and tender contributions
- Track and analyse variations and ensure financial adjustments are properly captured
- Develop and update project schedules using tools such as MS Project
- Prepare progress reports for clients and internal stakeholders
- Provide broader assistance to project managers through all phases of project delivery
About You
- 5+ years of experience in project controls, cost control, or project coordination
- Background in mechanical services, construction, or industrial maintenance is highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience in scheduling software
- Solid understanding of Earned Value Management and project controls frameworks
- Familiar with cost management systems and reporting processes
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Clear communicator with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Experience working under Schedule of Rates or Cost Plus contracts is a bonus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting project demands
