Our Opportunity
Are you passionate about supporting children and families in kinship care? Join Cafs, a values-driven organisation, as our Kinship First Supports Practitioner. This role sits within our Home Based Care Team. As the Kinship First Supports Practitioner, you will complete assessments for children entering kinship care, provide support to carers, and work collaboratively with Child Protection to ensure the safety, development, and stability of children in care.
About You
We are looking for a motivated, values-driven individual with experience in child and family services, particularly working with caregivers. The ideal candidate will thrive when working autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team.
Skills & Attributes
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare Studies, Community Services or a related field
- Demonstrated experience supporting caregivers and working with vulnerable families
- Proven ability to resolve complex client issues and drive continuous improvement in service delivery
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to foster teamwork and embed shared practice into organisational culture
