Our Opportunity

Are you committed to supporting the wellbeing of children? Cafs, a values-led organisation, is seeking a Child Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Orange Door team. In this pivotal role, you?ll be the first point of contact for individuals seeking guidance, support, or information regarding concerns about a child or their family. You?ll offer tailored advice on available services and effective approaches to meet the unique needs of children and families.

About You

We are looking for a motivated, values-driven individual with proven experience in the Family Violence Sector and holds a qualification of Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent. The ideal candidate will thrive when working autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team.

Skills & Attributes

  • Bachelor of Social Work or Equivalent
  • Relevant experience working with families and children in the family violence sector.
  • Working Collaboratively ? Intermediate- Be a positive influence and role model facilitating teamwork through sharing information and recognising the efforts of others.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving- Intermediate- Identify the facts and data needed to understand a problem or explore an opportunity, seeking input from others to achieve best outcomes.

Cafs (Child and Family Services Ballarat) is an independent community service organisation based in Ballarat for over 160 years. We provide over 50 programs across a range of service areas providing care for clients within communities across the central highland region.
