What You’ll be Doing
Are you results-focused and love to help others? Do you have a passion to maximize sales opportunities while operating within a structured, compliant framework? In this role, you’ll work effectively to service, enhance, and build relationships with current and future customers. Consistently achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets for general insurance products through proactive engagement and effective closing techniques. You’ll provide professional customer service, always adhering strictly to all regulatory compliance guidelines and industry standards, ensuring ethical and lawful sales practices. Whether it’s getting answers for customers quickly or understanding their needs to offer them the best and most compliant solutions, you’ll be the difference between their customer experience being just average or an exceptional one.
You'll report to the Sales Manager. You’ll contribute to the success of the customer experience as well as the overall success of the team.
During a Typical Day, You’ll
Apply strong knowledge of products and brand positioning, along with goal-oriented and negotiation skills, to achieve sales targets, address client objections, and expand business opportunities.
Efficiently recommend, quote, and negotiate general insurance product knowledge with customers to close the sale while identifying and compliantly handling all sales opportunities.
Proactively identify and capitalize on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to maximize revenue per customer, while ensuring customer needs are met compliantly.
Efficiently manage a high volume of inbound and outbound customer interactions, maximizing conversion rates and maintaining high levels of productivity.
What You Bring to the Role
Proven track record of working efficiently and in full compliance within strict financial services or insurance regulations.
1 year or more of sales experience, preferably in general insurance.
Demonstrated understanding of ASIC regulations, general insurance codes of practice, and data privacy requirements.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced sales environment.
Proficiency in sales software and CRM systems for efficient lead management and performance tracking
Ability to manage communications and full lifecycle sales in an omnichannel communication environment, which could include outbound sales, email and chat.
Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and possesses a strong track record of consistently achieving and exceeding demanding sales targets.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts that could include weekdays 9am to 8pm & Saturdays 9am – 2pm.
