Your role at St John of God Midland Hospital
Are you a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Business Partner ready to make a real impact in a purpose-driven organisation? St John of God Midland Hospital is looking for someone like you to partner with hospital and Group Services leaders in delivering both strategic and operational people priorities.

The Position
- Engage with leaders and subject matter experts (SME) to shape the regional strategy and execution of initiatives that align SJGHC, people and culture, and business goals to drive effective business outcomes.
- Support and coach leaders in fostering a "One SJGHC" mindset and approach to people initiatives and programs.
- Partner with senior business leaders, SMEs and peers within and across the business to drive improvement initiatives and consistency of strategic and operational people program execution.
- Coach and guide leaders through the effective execution of cyclical people activities.
- Support the implementation, embedding and ongoing improvement of people initiatives and programs, including through effective change management, timely stakeholder engagement and understanding of change impact.
- Role model, and support and coach leader, in integrating and living our Mission and values in our actions, behaviours and decisions.
- Support and coach leaders to define, build and improve local caregiver engagement, their experience, their capability, development and performance and retention.
- Provide strategic talent advice to support and develop caregivers and leaders.
- Appropriately engage with SMEs in the effective management of complex matters and share learning across the peer network.
- Partner with leaders in the development and implementation of business plans, aligning people plans and priorities, consistent with overall people strategy and planning.
Position Requirements
The successful candidate will hold formal qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, with a minimum of five years' relevant experience. You will have a solid understanding of contemporary HR practices and principles, with the ability to align business strategy with HR priorities to achieve organisational goals.
Your experience will include coaching and developing people leaders, as well as supporting talent management, succession planning, and critical skills assessment programs. You will also have a strong working knowledge of performance and development, reward, and recognition practices, and a proven track record of partnering with the business to execute key people priorities.
Additionally, you will have demonstrated experience leading and supporting change initiatives, including cultural transformation and employee engagement. You will be well-versed in relevant employment legislation and compliance, with the ability to interpret industrial and common law instruments. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to influence, manage conflict, negotiate, and build relationships with key stakeholders.
You will also possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse people data, identify trends, and use insights to drive outcomes. Experience in strategic workforce planning is essential for this role.

- Salary: $124,196 to $137,946 per annum, plus 12% superannuation
- Fixed term full time position working 76 hours per fortnight up to 6 months. This role may also be considered on a casual basis and will be discussed with suitable applicants
