We ensure that all our Inspectors are professionally attired in DESCOM uniforms and are equipped with the skills necessary to address the emotional and practical needs of our clients during the buying, building, or selling process.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Building & Pest Inspector to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify any structural defects, timber damage, and active pest or termite infestations.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough building and pest inspections to assess structural integrity and identify pest infestations.

⁠Ensure compliance with Australian Standards AS4349.1, AS4349.2, and AS4349.3.

⁠Review building plans and specifications to verify compliance with local and state regulations.

⁠Prepare detailed inspection reports with clear findings and recommendations.

⁠Communicate inspection results effectively to property owners, contractors, and other stakeholders.

⁠Investigate complaints and violations related to building codes and safety regulations.

⁠Provide expert guidance on compliance measures to property owners and contractors.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must be a Registered Building Practitioner and hold a Certificate III in Urban Pest Management, along with a valid Pest Management Technician Licence.

At least 5 years of experience in building inspections, construction, or pest inspection and control.

Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Must have a valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
