Job Title: Payroll Coordinator
Location: Olivet Care- Ringwood - Onsite Role
Employment Type: Part-time (9 day fortnight)
Pay rate : $38.00/hr -$42.00/hr (based on experience )
Reports To: Accounting Manager

About the Role
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our finance team. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our payroll function and involves calculating and processing fortnightly payroll, ensuring timely payments and addressing staff payroll queries. Other responsibilities include remitting taxes and complying with government reporting requirements, relevant payroll awards and EBAs.
This position is ideally suited for someone with experience in aged care or a similar complex payroll environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process wages for staff on a fortnightly basis
Perform payroll review of employment contracts prior to issue
Create new employees & maintain data in payroll system
Process terminations in payroll system
Update employee payroll details via Recruitment Proposals, casual conversion etc
Process fortnightly staff salary packaging transactions & maintain FBT reporting
Maintain annual leave, personal leave & LSL records on payroll system
Handle staff payroll queries
Maintain payroll system with EBA entitlements and Award & Annual Salary entitlements
Process monthly super contribution journal
Pay & report on Superannuation monthly, reconcile to GL
Perform fortnightly & annual STP submissions to ATO
Process fortnightly large payer PAYG Payments
Monitor industry/legal/tax changes that will impact payroll and inform finance team
Monitor leave requests & obtain manager approvals
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Proven payroll experience and office administration
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards
Desirable:
Experience in an aged care or healthcare finance environment
Qualification in Office Administration, Bookkeeping or Finance
Compliance Requirements:
Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination
NDIS Clearance
