Position Overview
We are seeking an organised and proactive Sales Administrator to support our small sales team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and attention to detail who enjoys coordinating quotes, assisting clients, and keeping sales operations running smoothly.
The Sales Administrator will work closely with the Sales Manager and Warehouse team to ensure a seamless process from customer enquiry through to order completion. This position offers the opportunity to grow into a Sales Coordinator within the department as experience develops.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Administration
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the sales and estimating team.
Manage incoming enquiries via phone and email and allocate leads to sales staff.
Prepare and send customer quotes.
Follow up on pending quotes and update CRM records accordingly.
Process customer orders and coordinate with sales manager and warehouse for delivery/collection scheduling.
Maintain up-to-date client records and other administrative documents. As required
Generate reports on sales activity, pipeline, and performance as required.
Customer Service
Be the first point of contact for customer enquiries, ensuring professional and timely responses.
Communicate pricing, product information, and order status updates.
Liaise with clients to resolve issues or clarify order details.
Process & Systems
Maintain data integrity within the CRM and job management systems.
Assist in preparing documentation for tenders, project quotes, and proposals.
Support the estimating team by gathering information and updating drawings or specifications as required.
Coordinate internally with the warehouse and operations team to ensure accurate order fulfilment.
Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in sales administration, estimating support, or customer service (ideally in construction, building materials, or wholesale).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn technical product details.
Basic understanding of quoting or order processes within a trade or building environment (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years in an administrative, estimating, or sales support role.
Experience in the glass, aluminium, or construction industries.
Familiarity with reading or understanding elevation drawings (advantageous).
