We are seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Officer to manage HR operations and payroll for a busy, multi-faceted team. This hands-on role will support recruitment, employee relations, policy administration, and payroll compliance.

Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Officer to manage both HR and payroll functions within a busy and multi-faceted environment. This is a hands-on role, and only candidates with prior experience in a combined HR and payroll role will be considered.
You will work closely with the Senior HR Manager to ensure accurate payroll processing, effective recruitment, and compliance with workplace policies and legislation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
- Leading end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Conducting employee orientations, exit interviews, and supporting employee relations
- Maintaining and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee records
- Administering staff benefits and supporting HR operations and projects across the business
- Ensuring compliance with employment laws, workplace health and safety (WHS), and company policies
- Driving continuous improvement across HR and payroll processes
- Performing general office administration tasks to support daily operations
This role is ideal for a proactive, organised professional who has proven experience managing both HR and payroll functions and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Your Profile
The ideal HR & Payroll Officer will have proven experience in managing both HR and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across a busy team. Strong communication, organisational skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach are essential.
- Essential: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a role covering both HR and Payroll, demonstrating proficiency in end-to-end HR and payroll management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage recruitment, onboarding, policy administration, and payroll processes effectively.
- Proven capacity to handle a multi-faceted HR and Payroll role while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and smooth team operations.
