The Organisation

Since 1988, Easy Care Gardening (ECG) has supported older people across Sydney’s lower and upper north shore. We are a for-purpose, not-for-profit organisation delivering services under the Department of Health and Aged Care’s Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). ECG promotes physical activity, client choice, and shared learning while making gardens safer and more enjoyable. We help clients build social connections, a sense of purpose, and belonging, supporting them to feel more in control of their lives. We uphold clients’ dignity and independence, working collaboratively so older people can take part in services, share their skills, and learn new ones.

With Australia’s aging and increasingly isolated population, maintaining gardens can improve physical and mental wellbeing, enhance community connections, and support independence, reducing the need for earlier transitions to residential aged care and improving quality of life for clients, their families, and the broader community.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in the community sector while directly supporting older people’s independence, dignity, and connection.

As Client Services Officer, you’ll play a central role in ensuring smooth service delivery - managing client bookings, staff and volunteer rostering, and resource allocation. Working within a small, collaborative team, you’ll help coordinate over 150 gardening services each month, delivered by 30+ service teams and 200+ volunteers to more than 650 clients across the region.

Your communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills will be essential to engage clients, match services effectively, and ensure high-quality outcomes. You’ll bring analytical, strategic, and collaborative thinking to help plan and deliver services that make a real difference.
