St Patrick's Community Support Centre Limited (or St Pat's as it is affectionately known) is an award-winning not-for-profit homelessness support service and community housing provider. We have been working side-by-side with vulnerable people in the South Metropolitan region of Perth for more than 50 years. Our mission is to end homelessness in our community.

To achieve our mission, we work in partnership with government and human services agencies, businesses, and the broader community to provide a range of high-quality services delivered to break the cycle of poverty and disadvantage. These include housing, health and dental care, crisis intervention and emergency relief, social inclusion, and specialist support services.

Our collaborative integrated and person-centred approach allows us to be there for people at every stage of their journey out of homelessness.

About the Role

The Housing Coordinator is responsible for managing the delivery of front-line tenancy management and associated services. The role will be responsible for the successful day-to-day management of such services, with a focus on sustainable tenancy outcomes, quality customer service, staff safety and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Comprehensive management of St Patrick’s community housing portfolio across residential tenancy and license to occupy agreements

Manage the tenancy team to deliver effective and efficient housing services

Oversee the allocation and management of housing resources

Develop and implement housing policies and procedures in collaboration with the Asset & Facilities Coordinator and Housing Operations Manager

Develop and deliver reports to manage, monitor and assess the performance of housing programs.

Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to housing services, including management of complaints and feedback

Participate in strategic planning and contribute to continuous improvement

Oversee and manage rental income, rent setting and reviews, and effectively put strategies in place to ensure arrears and debt are paid in a timely manner

Oversee and monitor inspections, including property condition reports, routine inspections, vacate inspections and inventory as required to ensure quality management

Actively support and participate in tenant and community engagement initiatives and foster a supportive and inclusive community environment

Manage staff to build a culture of personal excellence, accountability, collaboration and high performance

About You

Relevant qualifications or experience in community housing or social services

Strong knowledge of tenancy legislation and housing systems

Proven leadership skills with the ability to support and develop a team

Experience delivering quality, compliant services to vulnerable clients

Excellent communication, reporting, and organisational skills

Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities

A commitment to equity, inclusion, and cultural diversity
