We are recruiting for a full-time, permanent Production Supervisor for a global leader in the manufacture and maintenance of HVAC and related systems for the rail, mining, defence, and industrial sectors.

Based in Southwest Brisbane, this role would be responsible for the planning and supervision of ~10-20 trades completing assembly, overhaul, repair, testing, and related work to various rail sub-systems, equipment, and componentry.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production and planning meetings to meet delivery schedules and KPIs
• Plan, allocate and coordinate resources (electricians, technicians, fitters etc.) to tasks according to requirements
• Supervise works carried out whilst ensuring safety, quality, and other requirements are met
• Manage, train, and supervise workshop staff, overseeing individual performance
• Investigate issues and implement improvements to product, safety, quality etc.

Skills and Requirements

• Engineering degree, diploma, or trade qualification in Refrigeration, Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Automotive, Manufacturing or similar
• Proven supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or service environment (rail, HVAC, automotive, defence, mining, heavy manufacturing or similar)
• Experience with ERP systems would be highly valuable (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 etc.)
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and KPI tracking.
