Stantons is a boutique firm with a dedicated team of audit professionals located in Perth with offices in Sydney, and Darwin. We possess a team of over 30 experienced professionals throughout Australia. We are also a member of Russell Bedford International, a global network of independent accounting firms, business consultants and specialist legal advisers; represented by more than 350 offices in 100 countries.

External Audit is a core area within our organisation where we provide external audit services to a variety of entities, including publicly listed entities, unlisted public and proprietary companies as well as not-for-profit entities.

We are currently seeking to recruit suitably qualified Senior External Auditors to join our well-established Audit and Assurance team in Perth but may also provide assistance in Sydney as required.

Our Requirements

Completed Chartered Accountant / Certified Practising Accountant or equivalent qualification

Minimum of 5 years’ audit experience preferably gained in an Accounting / Auditing Public practice, including at least 1 year at audit senior level or above

Experience in preparing and analysing financial statements

Excellent communication skills

Leadership skills and experience in motoring and supervising junior team members

Experience in using audit software (e.g., Caseware) will be preferred

As a Senior External Auditor, your key duties shall include:

Being in charge of auditing of financial information for miltiple listed and non-listed entities

assessing all necessary financial statements and related disclosures and reportable conditions letters in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), with an eye on quality, thoroughness, and accuracy

planning, designing, and performing audit procedures

assessing clients' risk profile

keeping lines of communication open with subordinate staff and clients

supervising and montoring junior team members as needed

preparation of audit reports

good time management skills when conducting multiple audit tasks

other tasks and duties as necessary
