About the Role
Join the team at Jana Restaurant & Bar at QT Newcastle as a Casual Demi Chef. Bring your skills, passion and knowledge for cooking premium local produce to the team. The restaurant pulls on flavours from the Amalfi coast, cooking nose to tails down-to-earth dining at its best. Think Spring Bay Mussels to start, followed by Pork Cotoletta and homemade pasta to share with the table.

Skills & Experience
• 2+ years’ worth of experience working in a restaurant, bistro or hotel.
• Experience on multiple sections including larder, fryer and grill.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WH&S practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and follow kitchen procedures.
• Passion for food preparation and willingness to learn across all kitchen areas.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a professional attitude.
• Comply with hotel policies, WH&S guidelines, and maintain strong product knowledge.
