An exciting opportunity has become available for a Payroll Officer to join their collaborative Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

Processing fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles across multiple business units with precision and full compliance

Maintaining comprehensive employee records, including onboarding new starters, processing terminations, and updating ongoing employment changes

Calculating and administering overtime, allowances, bonuses, and salary sacrifice arrangements in accordance with company policy

Preparing, reconciling, and distributing payroll reports, ensuring superannuation contributions and taxation obligations are met

Acting as the primary point of contact for employee payroll enquiries, delivering responsive and professional support

Ensuring strict adherence to Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and current employment legislation

Supporting year-end compliance activities including PAYG payment summaries, FBT reporting, and audit preparation

Contributing to payroll system maintenance, process improvements, and system upgrade initiatives

You'll bring 3-4 years of hands-on payroll experience gained within a similar-sized organisation. You hold a degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or equivalent. Your technical knowledge of Australian payroll legislation is strong, you're confident with payroll systems, and your attention to detail is excellent. You communicate effectively and build positive relationships across all levels.
