The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate, driven, and solution-focused individual to join our Estimating team in a client-facing role that blends estimating expertise with business development (Sales focus).
This is a pivotal position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, enjoys engaging with people, and is motivated by building strong client relationships that convert into successful projects.
Your role will involve working across a diverse range of construction methodologies and materials, while also proactively identifying opportunities, meeting with clients, and contributing to the growth of our portfolio and client base.
About You
You thrive on connecting with people, building trust, and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships. You’re just as comfortable walking a site with a client as you are preparing detailed costings. Your natural energy, strong communication skills, and commercial mindset mean you can balance both sales and technical estimating responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong client relationships to develop ongoing opportunities
Represent AWS Services at client meetings, networking events, site inspections and industry functions
Attend site inspections, review plans, and prepare accurate take-offs and costings
Quote and prepare estimates for remediation work projects (including concrete cancer, crack injection, waterproofing, façade repairs) and commercial renovation projects/fit-outs
Assist in pricing variations throughout project delivery
Liaise with clients, designers, suppliers, and internal teams to compile competitive estimates
Identify cost trends and provide insights to management
Prepare handovers for awarded projects and collaborate with project teams
Partner with the sales team to improve conversion rates and project acquisition
What You'll Bring
Minimum 4 years’ experience in estimating within the construction sector
Demonstrated commercial experience in quoting, tendering, and a strong history of quoting remediation projects (e.g. concrete cancer, crack injection, waterproofing, façade works) as well as commercial renovations and fit-outs
Strong sales and relationship management skills with a track record of converting opportunities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving
