The opportunity:
Applications are now open for a key leadership position at the established Medicare Mental Health Centre service in Ipswich as the Clinical Lead. You'll be joining a collaborative team, in a professional and positive environment.
As the Clinical Lead, your pivotal role involves providing leadership to the team, ensuring the smooth execution of daily clinical operations. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, you will actively contribute to the development of innovative and evidence-based services, emphasising the delivery of top-tier mental health services. Your duties extend to offering ongoing clinical support and guidance to the team, ensuring adequate supervision for all staff. Engaging in regular clinical and caseload reviews, you will proactively manage referrals and address service demands. During periods of heightened demand, you may also take on a direct caseload, ensuring seamless service provision.

On a day-to-day basis you will:
Lead a multidisciplinary team, including Senior Mental Health Clinicians, Mental Health Clinicians and non-clinical staff.
Form and maintain working relationships with key agencies to establish integrated care pathways for people in the West Moreton region.
Contribute to the vision, strategic planning, and policy development for the Medicare Mental Health Centre hub as a member of the management team.
Ensure the collection of relevant data to measure deliverables and continuously improve the delivery of services.
Provide expert advice on complex clinical matters, actively manage referrals and demand for clinical services, and coordinate services/programs with partner agencies.
About you:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant clinical discipline (e.g. psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing), with registration through AHPRA, AASW, or equivalent.
Have experience working in cross-cultural settings, especially with First Nations People and priority populations.
Demonstrate experience in working in a trauma-informed and recovery-oriented service, particularly with individuals experiencing complexity.
Skilled in psychological assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and risk/crisis management.
Possess leadership or management experience in a clinical environment.
Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills, with the ability to engage staff, clients, families, and significant others in collaborative service delivery; specialist training in complex disorders is desirable.
