Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced baker with a minimum of 2 years hands on baking experience to join our talented team of bakers and pastry chefs. The ideal candidate will bring productivity, exceptional skill, and a commitment to quality, ensuring that every creation leaves our kitchen with consistency and care.

Key Responsibilities:

Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients

Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods

Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times

Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products

Operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits

Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment

Working with, delegating and leading other team members

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in sourdough breadmaking

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and a commitment to team work

Passion for baking and a creative approach to menu development

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Ability to work from 3am and 4am (regular start time)
