Family owned and operated from 2 Brisbane store locations at Capalaba and Morayfield, we believe our experience in the industry enables us to offer a high standard of customer service to our customers.

We are currently seeking casual Pallet Runner/Retail Assistants with a genuine customer focus to join our friendly team with roles available in our Capalaba & Morayfield stores.

The Pallet Runner/Retail Assistant maintains the standards and policies of the organisation, ensuring that their interaction with customers and other employees are reflective of these at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PALLET RUNNER/RETAIL ASSISTANT:

Operate the forklift efficiently and safely, to unload and store incoming palletised stock.

Distribute pallets around warehouse via forklift and pallet jack

Stack and unstack pallets by hand

Refill and organise stock in cold room for fridge and freezer

Keeping the work area and fridge / freezer clean and tidy and performing general maintenance tasks

Maintain an up to date knowledge of all products and their location in store.

Ensure all stock is rotated by date

Merchandise and aid in the maintenance of floor stock levels and replenishment

Maintain outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service

Accurate and efficient operation of the cash register system, including POS

Adhere to, and maintain, security procedures and cash handling procedures, at all times

Communicate and report customer requests and complaints to senior management.

Other duties as outlined by Management.

ABOUT YOU:

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2 years experience working in a Retail and/or a Warehouse team

Previous warehousing experience in cold room, highly regarded

Minimum 2 years experience in forklift and pallet jack operation.

Proficient use of a computer for data entry and stock control

Able to prioritise tasks to work efficiently and within timelines.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting, and perform all functions of the role.

Strong commitment to adhering to WH&S within the workplace

Flexibility to work across a 7 day rotating roster

Proven record of accountability, reliability and good attendance is required

Focus on achieving set tasks to a high standard

High energy levels, strong team focus and excellent interpersonal skills

Exhibit time management and problem solving skills

Willingness to follow instructions and take direction to learn and develop

Pride in going above and beyond to exceed expectations

Qualifications:

Forklift Licence and experience essential

Previous Warehouse and/or WH&S Training highly regarded

Ability to effectively manage your time and focus on achieving set tasks to a high standard without compromising the customer experience

Outstanding communication with team, management and customers

Effective time management and problem solving skills

Confidence, drive and enthusiasm.

Demonstrated capability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.

Proven record of accountability, reliability and good attendance is required

This is a true casual position, where hours/ days / shift can vary from week to week so flexibility and availability across seven days is required, including weekends and public holidays as required.
