The Youth Justice Group (Youth Justice) within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) is responsible for the supervision of children and young people in the Victorian criminal justice system.

The System Reform and Outcomes Branch within Youth Justice is responsible for supporting frontline service delivery and progressing significant reforms to the Youth Justice system, in line with the Youth Justice Strategic Plan 2020-30, the Youth Diversion Statement and Wirkara Kulpa (Victoria's first Aboriginal Youth Justice Strategy).

The Opportunity

Fixed term, full-time position until 30 June 2027 based in Melbourne.

VPS Grade 3 role: $79,122 - $96,073 per year plus superannuation.

Provide administrative, analytical and operational support to the System Reform and Outcomes Branch

Assist with project management, contract and financial management, recruitment and onboarding, coordinating tasks, and tracking project progress

Co-ordinate government briefing processes, including ministerial and departmental briefings and correspondence.

Provide day-to-day business administration support to the Director of System Reform and Implementation and Director of Diversion, Community and Programs

To be successful in this role you will have experience in the provision of confidential, personal and administrative support functions, including Microsoft Office applications.

You will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check, which you will need to maintain for the period of employment.
