Our client, a Federal Government organisation that supports the functioning of Parliament and parliamentarians through the provision of professional services, advice and facilities, are seeking the experience of a Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of innovative ICT solutions that support modernisation and enhance service delivery.

Duties of the Solutions Architect

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the existing ICT environment and future-state architecture;
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and practical implementation expertise when needed, demonstrating a strong ‘doer’ mindset;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and sustainable ICT solutions;
• Identify risks and opportunities within the technology environment and develop mitigation and optimisation strategies;
• Drive adoption of best practices and emerging technologies to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

Skills and Experience Required

• Demonstrated expertise and hands-on experience managing complex ICT domains and enterprise platforms within large organisations;
• Ability to navigate specific technology frameworks, security standards, and compliance requirements;
• Experience Leading ICT Modernisation and Transformation Initiatives, including application portfolio management, platform lifecycle oversight, and integration of legacy and emerging technologies;
• Ability to work effectively with diverse federal stakeholders, including policy teams, technical specialists, vendors, and executive leadership;
• Demonstrated capacity to identify and mitigate technical risks, drive innovation, and develop practical solutions.
