Department of Water and Environmental Regulation
Posted 6 days ago
Permanent and fixed term opportunities available.
Lead a team that’s shaping the future of water regulation in WA, where your decisions drive environmental and community outcomes.
This is your opportunity to lead one of Western Australia’s most critical natural resource programs. At the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER), we’re looking for a Program Manager who thrives on complexity, drives results, and brings strategic clarity to water resource management.
In this role, you will work closely with the Level 7 Program Manager and Regional Director, providing expert advice on water allocation planning, regulatory matters, and operational strategy. You will lead a team of professionals delivering core licensing programs, resolve complex challenges through innovative and risk-based approaches, and represent the Region in high-level engagements with government, industry, traditional owners, and the community.
Your ability to interpret legislation, manage resources, and communicate effectively will be key to your success. You’ll also play a vital role in shaping future development through business planning and policy input, while contributing to the Region’s performance and productivity goals.
We’re looking for someone with substantial experience in natural resource management and a strong understanding of water-related legislation. Your leadership will help foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, aligned with DWER’s values of trust, care, openness, and working better together.
Join us in making a real impact on Western Australia’s water future.
As a department we recognise that flexible working arrangements support effective work-life balance, empowers our people and increases team productivity. We are committed to creating an equitable and diverse workforce that promotes an inclusive and supportive workplace environment. We value the unique diversity of experience that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, women and youth bring to our workforce.
For further information about the opportunity, we encourage you to contact Matt Viskovich, Program Manager on 6250 8006 or via email [email protected] during business hours.
