Skye Children’s Cooperative (SCC) is a 44-place not-for-profit early learning service in Macleod with over 30 years of deep community connection. The Opportunity

We are seeking a VIT-registered or provisional (or working towards) Early Childhood Teacher to lead our 3-Year-Old Kindergarten Program beginning Jan 2026.

Our kindergarten operates within a Long Day Care model. The successful applicant will work with approximately 11 children each day, supporting a total group of around 15 children and their families. Our three-year-old and four-year-old kindergarten groups share a combined classroom space, fostering wonderful opportunities for children to extend their learning through peer connections and for educators to collaborate, share ideas, and inspire one another. While the groups share a learning environment, each program maintains its own structure, curriculum focus, and dedicated experiences — including separate bush kinder sessions and group times.

You’ll be supported by a diploma-qualified co-educator and engaged, responsive leadership team. With dedicated planning time, mentoring, and a resourced environment, you’ll be empowered to make a meaningful impact.

Your Role

Design and deliver a high-quality, play-based educational program for 3YO children

Build trusting, responsive relationships with children and families

Collaborate with passionate co-educators to foster a calm, inclusive learning environment

Document and assess learning in alignment with the EYLF and NQS

Participate actively in team reflection, planning meetings, and professional learning

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or working towards)

VIT Registration (full or provisional), or active progress toward registration

Current WWCC, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
