About Us
The City of Cockburn is centrally located in the southern suburbs of Perth, on Whadjuk country. We’re a place of experiences, just 20 minutes’ from Perth city, with everything from pristine beaches and wetlands to theme parks and world-class recreation facilities.

At the City of Cockburn, we’re more than just a local government – we’re a vibrant, forward-thinking organisation that puts our people first. Our team is united by a shared desire to make an impact by helping to achieve our vision - Cockburn, the best place to be.

About the Role

As CoSafe Team Leader, you’ll oversee and support a dedicated team of patrol officers to deliver a responsive and professional community safety service across the City of Cockburn. This hands-on role involves supervising daily operations, coordinating patrol tasks, responding to incidents, and ensuring high standards of customer service. You’ll also liaise with WA Police, emergency services and community members, while contributing to the effective use of CCTV and other safety technologies.

This position offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a visible difference in community safety.

About you

You are an experienced leader with a background in community safety, policing, security, or a related field. With strong supervisory and organisational skills, you’re confident in guiding a team, making decisions under pressure, and managing operational priorities.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a security, law enforcement or public safety environment.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation, local laws, and enforcement processes.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff, stakeholders, and the community.
  • Experience with mobile patrols, CCTV, and security systems.
  • A “hands-on” approach, with the ability to assess risk and respond to incidents effectively.
  • A current WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence, First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain), and a satisfactory National Police Certificate are essential.

If this sounds like you, we invite you to apply today and make an impact.

Salary: Starting from Level 5 Step 1 – Step 4 ($93,945.24 - $99,660.24) City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025 based on qualification and experience.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this role attracts shift penalty rates and five weeks of annual leave, providing an excellent work–life balance and recognition for your contribution to a 24/7 operational environment.
