About the Role
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Accountant who enjoys variety and working closely with the business. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and partnering with operational teams to help drive performance and efficiency. No two days will be the same in this fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end and year-end reports, reconciliations, and journals
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee day-to-day accounting activities
• Support tax and audit compliance processes
• Provide insights to operational managers to support business decisions
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
• Contribute to a positive team culture and continuous improvement mindset

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CA qualified, or currently pursuing (preferred)
• Around 3+ years' accounting experience, ideally within engineering or contracting
• Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Pronto, MYOB, or similar) and Excel
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to get involved wherever needed
