​ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an Accountant that can contribute positively to a close-knit team by providing comprehensive and professional accounting and administrative support services for an Immediate start.

Individuals will need to have a positive, flexible team-oriented approach, with willingness and desire to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This position will give you enough variety to keep you on your toes and will provide the successful candidate with plenty of room to grow and develop. Prior accounts experience is a must!

The role is available Full Time. Some flexibility is available on start times.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

Setting up new employees

Assisting with preparing and processing payroll

Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting

Assisting with New Client / Contractor Onboarding, setting up new contracting companies, requesting Documentation, Permits and Insurances and associated documentations.

Assist with accounts payable

Provide support to the Finance Manager as required

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:

Previous experience in a payroll and/or accounts role

Strong IT and systems experience (MYOB AccountRight)

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work well as part of a team

Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax obligations, and modern award requirements

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Current unencumbered WA C Class Driver's License

Experience within the Mining or Heavy Industrial sectors, whilst not essential, would be advantageous.

Proficiency in a range of computing skills including MYOB, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email and use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Proven team player with a high level of integrity, confidentiality and credibility.

All candidates must supply a recent National Police Clearance (less than 6-months old) and have the ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug/alcohol screening.
