We’re Hiring – Senior Bookkeeper (Part-Time)

Encompass Bookkeeping is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to assist in delivering services to our growing client base.

We are a bookkeeping & business support service that empowers small business owners to thrive by supporting them to be financially free. Based in Brendale, Brisbane.

Encompass Bookkeeping has been providing bookkeeping, BAS, payroll, and advisory services for the past twelve years. We are expanding and the successful candidates will report directly to the Director.

This is a part-time position working from our office in Brendale Brisbane. The days required will be Mon - Fri however hours worked on those days will be flexible. The person in this role will also have the opportunity to go full time if they prefer.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

Assist with supporting our clients and helping them manage their business’ finances

Complete bookkeeping and BAS work for our clients, including payroll

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and EOFY accounts, as well as reviewing the work of team members

Maintain client relationships

Work closely with Director to provide advisory services to clients

Our ideal candidate:

Minimum of 5 years bookkeeping, BAS, and payroll experience in a bookkeeping or accounting firm

Experience having managed multiple clients across various industries

Experience with Xero and MYOB

Experience with Dext, Asana (Job Management System) and Gsuite (Google Sheets/Docs) will be an advantage but not required

Strong reconciliation skills and the ability to reconcile the balance sheet

Excellent interpersonal skills are a must for this position.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritise tasks in a highly organised and methodical manner

Ability to problem solve through collaboration and own enquiry

A team player
