1st or 2nd year apprentice Baker/Pastry Chef required for wholesale artisan bakery.

Loafers Artisan is a wholesale artisan bakery that has been operating for over 14 years supplying the greater Perth Area.

We invest heavily into our systems, equipment, infrastructure, and people which makes us an in demand and growth business. We use both state-of-the-art industrial equipment as well as hand moulding trade craft to produce a range of artisan breads.

We are now looking for 1 new apprentices to join our team.

You will be taught how to

Make genuine artisan breads (sourdough and ciabatta)

Run a large gas deck oven and 2 double rack ovens

Run a state-of-the-art divider

Bench work - Hand moulding and scaling

Clean down activities

Mixing various dough types

About you:

A keen young person who wishes to learn Artisan Baking at a wholesale scale

High food safety standards and knowledge.

A professional attitude and the ability to stay calm and work hard under pressure.

Team player with a high attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Able to work weekends on occasion and be flexible with your rostering.

The business operates 7 days a week, with roster that will include a variety of day, afternoon and evening shifts.
