👉🏼 The need-to-know…

As a Case Worker in Youth Justice at Rise, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of the Hope Agreement, supporting young people to address the complex issues impacting their life skills, health, and development. You’ll be an integral part of the collaboration with other consortium partners, working together to achieve best outcomes.

This role is part-time, worked over three set days (Monday to Friday) between 8:00am and 4:30pm (38 hours per fortnight). Specific days and daily hours are flexible and will be agreed with the successful candidate prior to commencement. The position is community-based, covering the North and Central Metro areas, with some work-from-home flexibility. Occasional travel south to Banksia Hill Detention Centre and partnering offices in Armadale will be required.

What you’ll do:

Provide case management support including face to face in client’s homes or in detention.

Provide transport to clients to support adherence with community orders.

Build strong connections with community organisations and support networks.

Collaborate with consortium partners to share good practice and drive positive results.

Keep accurate records and ensure program compliance.

👉🏼 The need-to-have…

Here at Rise, we nurture potential, but we do need you to have a few tricks up your sleeve including the following:

Relevant qualification (or working towards one) in Community Services, or equivalent experience.

Strong communication skills and experience working with young people.

Understanding of issues affecting at-risk youth.

Ability to plan and run youth events or group activities.

Confidence working independently in the community with strong time management/organisational skills.

Solid IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft Office packages

Appointments to this position will require the following items. Costs for new checks will be covered and/or reimbursed by Rise.

Driving licence and use of a reliable vehicle for work purposes

NDIS worker screening check

Working with children check

Department of Justice clearance

1) Experience in case work – outline your experience supporting clients through case management, including the types of programs or services you’ve worked in.

2) Engaging with young people – share an example of how you’ve successfully engaged or built trust with youth (particularly relevant if you’ve worked with young people at Rise or in a similar community context).

3) Managing risk – provide an example or describe your understanding of how you’ve identified and mitigated risk when working with high-risk clients in the community.
