About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at G.J. Gardner Homes Wagga Wagga as a Project Manager. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of our Special Projects in the Wagga Wagga area. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and the wider team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

Developing and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets

Coordinating and overseeing all construction activities, including site management, contractor management, and quality control

Communicating regularly with clients to provide updates and address any concerns

Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues to ensure project success

Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards

Collaborating with the wider team to continuously improve processes and efficiencies

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in the construction industry

Demonstrated expertise in managing residential and/or commercial construction projects

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and find innovative solutions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and the wider team

A thorough understanding of construction processes, contract management, and project management methodologies

Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction scheduling tools

Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
