Quality Inspectors is responsible for executing and documenting quality assurance checks throughout the tomato grading and packing process. This role is essential for maintaining product quality, ensuring compliance with both Goodness Grown’s internal specifications and external customer/supermarket standards (e.g., HARPS, Freshcare, as indicated in compliance activities). The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in preventing quality defects and food safety hazards from reaching the customer.
Conduct comprehensive, documented quality inspections on raw materials, in-process product (post-grading/sorting), and finished goods to verify compliance with size, colour, firmness, and defect tolerances.
Specifically monitor and manage the final packing and labelling of product to meet the stringent quality control points required for supermarket and wholesale distribution.
Accurately identify, record, and report any quality or packaging non-conformances, isolating affected product and recommending immediate corrective actions to the Packhouse Manager.
Calibration & Traceability: Perform and record routine checks for calibration on relevant packhouse equipment (e.g., scales, metal detection) and support the maintenance of thorough product traceability records.
