Your new role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you'll be part of a dynamic Facilities Management team responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, mechanical plant, and select medical equipment. Your day-to-day will include:

• Reactive and preventative maintenance of hospital equipment, plant equipment, pumps, motors, bearing replacements
• Repairs of hospital theatre & ward equipment
• Fault diagnosis and minor repairs of trolleys, wheelchairs, patient appliances
• HVAC filter replacements
• TIG welding stainless steel
• Supporting the facilities team with building and infrastructure upkeep
• Building maintenance
• No two days will be the same!

What you'll need to succeed

• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a hospital or healthcare setting (highly desirable)
• Current police check
• Triple COVID vaccination
• Well presented & good communciaiton skills
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
