About the role

We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic 1st Year Apprentice Chef to join our kitchen team. This is your chance to build real skills in a supportive, modern restaurant environment while completing your Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. You’ll be mentored by experienced chefs and involved in every aspect of service, from prep to plating and service delivery, as you develop your craft.

What you’ll do

Learn and assist in preparing and cooking dishes for brunch and dinner

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and presentation

Work closely with the Executive Chef and the other experienced Chefs to refine your technical skills

Support day-to-day kitchen operations, including stock rotation and prep lists

Gain exposure to menu development and learn how new specials and dishes are created

Contribute to a positive, team-focused restaurant culture

What we’re looking for

A genuine love of food, creativity, and learning

Reliable, motivated and keen to build a career in hospitality

Able to take direction and communicate well in a fast-paced open kitchen

Available to work a mix of mornings, nights, and weekends

Ready to enrol (or enrolled) in a Commercial Cookery apprenticeship

No prior experience needed - just the right attitude and a willingness to learn

Apprentice pay rates apply in line with the Restaurant Industry Award (MA000119)
