APS 6 – Senior Geospatial Specialist
The National Native Title Tribunal (NNTT) is seeking interested candidates for a Senior Geospatial Specialist (APS 6). Knowledge of Indigenous Peoples and the issues impacting them and a commitment to the organisational vision is important. The position is available to start now for a period of 12 months with then the possibility of extension.
What will you do?
The Senior Geospatial Specialist reports to the geospatial Manager Geospatial Solutions, and is responsible for the architecture, administration and maintenance of the Tribunal’s geospatial datasets and online services.
The key duties of the position may include but are not limited to:
- Administer the provision of spatial data management, storage, and dissemination solutions
- Undertake the development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and sustained provision of ArcGIS Enterprise including online map and analysis services
- Administration and maintenance of custodial and non-custodial geospatial datasets and metadata to assist the delivery of geospatial products and analysis associated with native title matters
- Provide support related to the technical architecture and solution design projects within Geospatial Services
- Undertake complex geospatial analysis associated with native title matters
- Actively contribute to opportunities for business improvements
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for individuals who enjoy working in a geospatial team environment and will be adaptable to geospatial technologies and administrative changes.
We are seeking candidates who:
- Have experience in Geographic Information Systems and associated software including ESRI desktop and Enterprise GIS solutions, FME and SQL databases
- Experienced in data management, analysis and mapping in relation to native title, land and resources tenure
- Possess and demonstrate an ability to communicate sensitively with stakeholders
- Possess relevant tertiary qualifications, or recognised equivalent.
