The Organisation

The Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia Limited (AHCSA) is the peak body representing Aboriginal community-controlled health and substance misuse services in South Australia at state and national levels.
Our primary role is to be the ‘health voice’ for all Aboriginal people in South Australia. We achieve this by advocating for the community and supporting workers through our Member Services with appropriate Aboriginal health programs based on a holistic perspective of health.

Summary of the Role

You’ll report through to the Workforce & Training Coordinator (Elder Care) and your duties will include:

• Assisting the Workforce & Training Coordinator with scheduling and delivery of non-accredited training and onboarding of Elder Care support staff
• Coordinating communication, engagement and support for South Australia’s Elder Care support workforce
• Assisting with program management activities including activity planning, reporting and record keeping
• Providing general coordination, administrative and project support within the Elder Care team

Experience

• Experience or willingness to learn about developing, delivering and/or facilitating training
• Previous experience building relationships and working closely with Aboriginal organisations and individuals
• Strong administrative and organisational skills and the ability to pick up different tasks quickly
• Previous experience in Elder Care or project management will be highly regarded but is not essential to be considered
