The Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Purchasing Officer to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and play a key role in both day-to-day purchasing and a major SAP implementation project.

Key Responsibilities

• Raise purchase orders and coordinate logistics for inbound materials
• Follow up on outstanding orders and ensure timely delivery
• Prioritise workload to meet operational deadlines
• Conduct quality checks to ensure stock is accurate and defect-free
• Maintain accurate and timely purchasing documentation
• Build and manage effective supplier relationships
• Support the implementation and integration of SAP across purchasing functions

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in purchasing and/or logistics, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Strong working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system
• Experience supporting or participating in ERP implementation projects will be highly regarded
• High attention to detail and commitment to process compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general administrative systems
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
