The role:

Cater Care seeks to appoint a Part-Time Catering Assistant at one of our key aged care residences in Hamilton.

Roster:

Position 1: Friday, 6:30 am to 2:00 pm

Position 2: Friday and Saturday, 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm

What this role involves:

• Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
• Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks
• Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods
• Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
• Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties
• Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
• Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential)
