About the Role

Join CALHN’s Integrated Care Geriatric Services and make a real difference in the lives of older South Australians. As an Advanced Practice Occupational Therapist, you’ll lead the way in providing expert, non-pharmacological support for people experiencing complex behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia across residential and community settings.

You’ll work with a passionate multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care, guide behaviour and mobility programs, and build capability across care networks. With strong partnerships and plenty of scope to innovate, this role offers the chance to use your advanced clinical expertise to improve outcomes and quality of life for older people every day.

About You

You’re an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist who thrives on improving the lives of older South Australians. With strong clinical expertise and a passion for person-centred dementia care, you’re ready to take the lead in driving best practice and innovation within CALHN’s Integrated Care Geriatric Services.

You’ll bring:

  • Extensive experience supporting older adults—particularly those living with dementia and complex behavioural needs—through evidence-based, person-centred care. A clinical background of mental health expertise that can translate suitably to this patient cohort will also be considered relevant. Over 7 years clinical experience is highly desirable for this role
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams, influence stakeholders and build trusted partnerships across health, community and aged-care settings.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge of behaviour support, care planning and multidisciplinary collaboration, applying evidence and innovation to achieve meaningful outcomes.
  • Adaptability and initiative, thriving in dynamic environments while balancing priorities and leading continuous improvement in service delivery.
