The Workplace Relations Branch provides education, industrial advice and assistance to management and employees to foster harmonious workplace relations and compliance with legislation, awards and industrial agreements.
The Principal Industrial Adviser is required to:
Manage workplace relations functions and provide high-level strategic industrial and workplace relations advice and services for SAPOL.
Provide advice and strategies on industrial risk for workplace policy and procedure development, projects, implementation and evaluation.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders on industrial matters for planning, developing, implementing and promulgating employee transition and change strategies with specific regard to consultation strategies.
Manage sensitive industrial relations negotiations with key stakeholders and registered organisations, staff and senior management.
The Principal Industrial Adviser is accountable to the Officer in Charge, Workplace Relations Branch and is required to work closely with the team members of the Workplace Relations Branch.
The Principal Industrial Adviser works in collaboration with Executive and Line Managers across all areas of SAPOL and external stakeholders such as Crown Solicitors Office and Employee Associations.
Special Conditions
The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.
Salary
ASO8 - $121,107 - $125,679 per annum.
