About the Role
The Principal Lecturer plays a pivotal role in facilitating high-quality educational outcomes through leadership, program coordination, and the continuous improvement of teaching practices. In the normal course of their role, the Principal Lecturer focuses on driving qualitative enhancements in educational processes and programs. This position requires the demonstration of advanced skills in education delivery, leadership, and curriculum management. A key responsibility of the role is to mentor and support lecturing staff in their professional and career development, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. The Principal Lecturer contributes to the effective daily operations of the teaching workgroup, ensuring cohesive teamwork and alignment with workgroup goals. In addition, the role may involve active liaison with other vocational programs and industry stakeholders to maintain relevance and responsiveness of the curriculum to current and emerging industry needs.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education (Adult Education/VET) or Graduate Diploma in Adult/VET Education.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or later)
- Relevant Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) or related fields
