Established in 1986 and 100% Australian owned and operated, PPC delivers tailored ID card solutions to over 7,000 sites across corporate, education, healthcare, government, mining, and training sectors. Every business day, PPC-supported systems produce more than 70,000 plastic cards nationwide. With offices in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, PPC offers comprehensive support including card design, database integration, photo and data capture devices, and a full range of printer supplies and accessories. Renowned for its technical expertise and innovation, PPC is often consulted by global manufacturers and is proud to offer its own exclusive range of ID card printers designed for Australian conditions.

With a strong commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our leadership team.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in translating PPC’s strategic vision into operational reality. This is a leadership position requiring a top-down approach—identifying opportunities for improvement across all business functions and contributing to the future direction of the company. You will be a key driver of PPC’s culture, values, and strategic goals, ensuring that operational decisions reflect and reinforce the company’s commitment to innovation, integrity, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

Take a top-down view of PPC’s operations to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Provide strategic input into the company’s growth plans, technology roadmap, and operational direction.

Champion PPC’s company culture, ensuring values are embedded in daily operations and team engagement.

Oversee payroll, superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax compliance.

Manage domestic and international supplier payments and bank transfers.

Ensure adequate cash flow and financial health of the business.

Maintain HR records, leave calendars, and employment contracts.

Liaise across departments to ensure smooth operations and alignment with strategic goals.

Managerial Oversight

Lead and develop the administration team with a focus on mentorship, accountability, and wellbeing.

Monitor debt collection strategies and KPIs.

Maintain WHS and Fire Safety policies and compliance.

Prepare financial reports for management and external entities.

Drive efficiency through process review, automation, and continuous improvement.

Executive Functions

Prepare submissions and reports for government bodies including ATO, APCO, NICNAS, ACMA, and others.

Collaborate with PPC’s external partners such as banks, accountants and IT providers.

Represent PPC in strategic discussions and board-level communications.

IT Strategic Coordination

Act as the internal liaison for PPC’s digital infrastructure and technology roadmap.

Coordinate with external IT providers to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

Support the implementation of digital ID platforms and ensure operational readiness.

Identify opportunities for technology-driven process improvements across departments.

Champion data governance, cybersecurity awareness, and digital compliance initiatives.

What You Bring

Professional certifications in HR, business operations, or leadership (e.g., AHRI, CIPD, MBA) will be highly regarded.

Proven experience in operations, finance, HR, and IT coordination.

Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire, influence, and drive change.

Strategic thinking and execution skills, with a top-down approach to business improvement.

High emotional intelligence and a collaborative leadership style.

Expertise in process optimization, technology integration, and change management.

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

A genuine endorsement of PPC’s values and culture, with a passion for building a positive and high-performing workplace.
