We’re seeking a Front Desk Receptionist who takes pride in smooth arrivals, accurate reservations, and memorable departures - someone who thrives in a professional, team-centric environment.
Role Type: Casual
Roster: Morning, Afternoon, and Night Audit (overnight) shifts on a rotating roster
Your Impact
Guest Arrival & Departure: Deliver efficient, welcoming check-in/check-out; verify payment methods; issue keys; explain property features and local attractions.
Reservations & OTA Coordination: Manage direct and third‑party bookings; update reservations; communicate changes and special requests clearly.
Front Office Operations: Maintain accurate guest profiles and folios in the Property Management System (PMS); coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to meet readiness standards.
Service Recovery: Handle guest queries and resolve issues with empathy and professionalism; escalate when required.
Night Audit (if rostered): Balance and reconcile daily postings; complete end‑of‑day procedures; prepare shift and revenue summaries.
Cashiering & Compliance: Process payments, perform cash drops, and follow hotel policies.
Local Knowledge & Upselling: Provide confident recommendations (reef tours, dining, transport) and promote hotel services to enhance the stay.
What You’ll Bring
Experience in Front Desk/Guest Services or transferable customer service role (hospitality highly regarded).
Clear, professional communication; strong attention to detail under time pressure.
Competence with PMS and Microsoft Office software (we’ll train on our systems).
A team mindset, professional presentation, and a calm approach to peaks and problem solving.
Availability across Morning, Afternoon, and Night Audit shifts as rostered.
Valid Australian working rights.
