About the role

Are you a highly experienced and motivated Workshop Manager looking to join a growing and dynamic automotive service centre? Total Auto Centre in Brighton, VIC is seeking an exceptional individual to take on this full-time role and lead our team of skilled technicians. As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring exceptional customer service and the highest standards of quality workmanship.

What you'll be doing

Managing and overseeing the workshop team, including scheduling, training and performance management

Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices

Providing technical guidance and support to the technician team

Maintaining workshop efficiency and productivity targets

Liaising with customers to understand their needs and provide timely updates

Monitoring and maintaining workshop equipment and tools

Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

Contributing to the development of workshop policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Workshop Manager or similar senior role in the automotive industry

Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing technical teams

In-depth knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes

Strong communication and customer service skills

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Proficient in using workshop management software

Relevant trade qualifications and certifications
