Wallard Automotive - Light Vehicle Workshop Mechanic

Wallard Automotive is a successful, growing auto mechanic business located in a large, bright, recently refurbished workshop in Thornbury. We are looking for a competent, qualified mechanic to join our team and help us grow further.

We are looking for a Light Vehicle Automotive Mechanic with relevant qualifications and experience in the automotive industry to help us manage our growing demand. This position is best suited to an individual that can see themselves expanding their knowledge and capability to make the position their own. We are also looking to provide the right individual with unique prospects to extend their responsibilities to running and managing the workshop over time.

The Role:

Repair vehicles based on the diagnosed issues and repair estimate.

Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the customer.

Provide customers with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements and obtain approval prior to commencing work.

Perform automotive servicing, component builds and rebuilds as required across a broad range of vehicles.

Complete appropriate documentation on each repair.

Work unsupervised in a team environment ensuring good, open communication and support across team members.

Be focused on exceptional customer service.

About You:

Qualifications and Experience:

Appropriate Trade qualifications (fully qualified)

Over 2 years of industry experience

Exposure to a broad range of vehicles

Sound employment history

Current Driver License.

Own Tool Set.

Experience in Customer Service (Preferred)

Able to work in a team environment and work unsupervised.

Proud of your workmanship and able to work to a high standard.

Have a can-do attitude, as well as being ambitious, confident, self-motivated and willing to learn.

Excellent communicator and present well.

Strong diagnostic knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work quickly with attention to detail.
