We’re seeking a motivated and organised Assistant Building Manager / Live-in Caretaker to join our professional management team across a group of boutique apartment buildings in Kangaroo Point.

This role is perfect for someone looking to build a long-term career in building or facilities management. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience across guest relations, administration, and property operations — all while enjoying the convenience and perks of on-site accommodation.

About the Role

You’ll support the Building Manager with the day-to-day running of the properties, ensuring a seamless experience for both residents and short-stay guests. The role combines front desk and administrative responsibilities with caretaking duties.

Key Responsibilities

Handle guest and resident check-ins/check-outs and general enquiries

Manage bookings, emails, and property management software (training provided)

Maintain accurate records, reports, and correspondence

Conduct regular inspections and assist with maintenance coordination

Liaise with cleaners, contractors, and suppliers

Provide after-hours assistance for urgent issues and callouts as required

About You

Keen interest in property, hospitality, or building management

Strong administrative and communication skills

Confident with computers and learning new systems

Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude

Reliable, organised, and able to work independently

Maintenance or handyman skills beneficial, but not essential

RMS/Xero/Office suite skills beneficial, but not essential.

Property Management Experience beneficial, but not essential
