The Role – What You’ll Actually Be Doing
We’re on the lookout for a 3–6 PAE Employment Lawyer who is ready for a change and to do real, interesting work.
You’ll:
Advise on day-to-day HR issues (the tricky ones)
Work with clients on complex front-end work
Proactively resolve workplace issues before they become full-blown disputes
But also – some disputes are unavoidable, so the ability to run complex litigation and conduct investigations is a must
Work directly with clients who actually value your input
Collaborate with leading counsel and lawyers from our wide range of referring firms
And here's the kicker: no billable targets. None.
We work on trust - our team delivers its best without the targets hovering over our heads.

Who You Are
You’ve probably got an employer-focussed background. Maybe you’ve done the big firm thing, maybe you’re still in it and wondering what else is out there.
What we’re looking for:
A solid background in employment/workplace law
Experience advising on:
Issues arising under workplace legislation (Fair Work Act, anti-discrimination legislation, Return to Work Act, etc),
Award and enterprise agreement interpretation, including underpayment issues
Performance management, misconduct, termination, and post-employment issues
Ability to handle both the front-end and the disputes side of employment law
Someone who’s commercially savvy, practical, a good communicator, and great with people
