About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Employment Lawyer to join our client secondment basis (12-month contract with the potential to extend). Our client is a globally recognised technology and consumer brand, and this role offers a unique opportunity to work in an established in-house, APAC Employment Law team across of matters ranging from litigation, policy reform and industrial relations.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive legal advice on employment law issues, including workplace disputes, employee relations, and compliance with employment legislation.

Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and procedures.

Assist in managing employment-related claims and litigation.

Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in employment law.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.

Support the development and implementation of HR policies and practices.

Qualifications:

Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in employment law.

Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and regulations.

Experience in handling employment disputes and litigation.

Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders to assist the Client in achieving their strategic and commercial objectives.

About You:

An Australian-qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4PQE.

You have previous experience working with a reputable law firm or in-house legal team.

Strong knowledge of Australian law and regulations.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

A proactive and positive attitude.
